As an invitation and stationery designer, I’m constantly choosing fonts, and I wanted an easier way to see my own words in the fonts I already have. So I created My Font Viewer. I use it all the time, and I hope it makes choosing fonts easier for you too.

How do I see my fonts?
Open this site directly in desktop Chrome or Edge, choose Scan My Fonts, then decide whether to allow the browser’s font permission. If access was blocked, open the site controls beside the address bar, find font access in Site settings, and allow or reset it before scanning again. Browser and work-device policies may prevent access. No permission is needed to browse imported font names.
Why is a font unavailable?
A CSV contains names, not font files. A preview appears only when this browser can load that exact local font face. If it cannot, we show an unavailable message instead of substituting another font. Install or activate a font you are licensed to use, then scan again or reload. Some browsers restrict local font access. Individual characters not present in a font may still use the browser’s glyph fallback.
What is saved, and where?
The app processes fonts, CSVs and preview text on your device. It does not upload font names or files. Favourites and saved project names, shortlists and preview settings are stored in this browser’s local storage, with no account or cloud sync. Clearing site data removes them. Use Back up projects to keep a copy; font CSVs include your favourites. Private browsing or storage restrictions may prevent saving.
There are no analytics, advertising scripts or third-party font requests in this app. The hosting provider receives normal web requests and may retain server logs, including IP addresses. Links to Claudia’s website open a separate site with its own privacy practices.
Can I share a comparison with a client?
Shortlist fonts and export a PNG. The image includes your project title, preview text and font names; check it before sharing. Font files are never included. Your font licence still governs how you use lettering in client work. Missing or unverified fonts must be removed or made available before export.
What format should my CSV use?
Required columns: family and fullName. Optional columns: style, postscriptName, favorite (yes or no). Every row needs a family and full name. Export a CSV from this app for a compatible template. Quoted commas, quotation marks and multiline values are supported.
